Ted Braun lives with his wife Deirdre in Branford, CT. His career has been as teacher, administrator and consultant for students with disabilities. During the past two decades, he managed to carve out increasing amounts of time to pursue family roots and to share with extended family. “The Barkers of Branford: Life in America Through a Local Lens”was his first formal publication effort. He has given many presentations to local libraries and historical societies and other organizations based on the book.
He is currently researching his Bergeron French-Canadian ancestry rooted in pre-colonial times in Nova Scotia and Quebec. HIs particular focus is upon events that impacted his family during The Great Expulsion of the French from Acadia by the British in the mid eighteenth century.
